Town Center Management: uno strumento innovativo per la valorizzazione del centro storico e del commercio urbano

Abstract

Nonostante il progressivo sviluppo delle grandi superfici di vendita e dei centricommerciali extraurbani abbiano finito per accentuare il declino del commercio nelcentro storico, poca attenzione è stata finora dedicata al tema della mancanza di una“regia” per la valorizzazione di questa area e della sua imprenditorialità. L’obiettivodel presente l’articolo è quello di esaminare lo strumento del Town CentreManagement, sottolineandone sia la valenza strategica sia le principali modalità difunzionamento. Dopo aver considerato gli obiettivi ed i soggetti che possonopartecipare a iniziative di Town Centre Management, l’articolo si concentra sulprocesso di implementazione di tali iniziative e sulle diverse modalità di finanziamento,anche attraverso l’esame di alcuni casi. In conclusione, una volta richiamatal’importanza di predisporre un sistema di monitoraggio dei risultati, vengono discussealcune implicazioni per le imprese.
