La trasformazione dell’industria del gioco

Abstract

Solo qualche anno fa, la parola scommessa, era sinonimo di peccato, depravazione, immoralità . Oggi, è quasi impossibile trovare qualcuno che, almeno saltuariamente, non tenti la fortuna scommettendo, non tanto sui giochi classici, quanto piuttosto sulle nuove formule. Per un certo verso, gli italiani si sono trovati spiazzati di fronte ad una crescita esponenziale dell’offerta d’azzardo legata, da un lato all’aumento della domanda e dall’altro all’esigenza di risanare le casse dello Stato. A causa dell’assenza di una cultura del gioco, propria dei paesi anglosassoni, ma anche di un’inerzia legislativa che spesso conduce a situazioni confuse e contraddittorie, la mania del gioco tende a svilupparsi disordinatamente favorendo l’attività illecita, il vizio, la dipendenza. Questo lavoro, partendo da un’analisi delle motivazioni psico-sociologiche che spingono il soggetto umano a tentare la fortuna, e passando prima attraverso uno studio delle riforme del settore e poi ad una valutazione dei singoli giochi, si propone di individuare le possibili soluzioni alle problematiche ad esso connesse.
