Abstract

Se establece una propuesta de unión monetariapara América Latina basados en un sistema objetivoesencial, la formación de un sistema monetario latinoamericano,s. m.l. , y la elección de una moneda únicapara transacciones oficiales y privadas.Para llegar a esto examinamos los aspectos críticosde los modelos de desarrollo implantados en elárea, el proteccionismo (sustitución de importacio-./' ' nes) y los procesos de liberación y apertura económi- \.ca, concluyendo con los procesos de integración ensus objetivos más amplios.Se tomaron como guía aspectos esenciales delmodelo europeo de integración, rescatados comoideales para nuestro caso.Por último se muestra un modelo báSico para elestablecimiento de una moneda única en los paísesdel Grupo Andino más la inclusión de Chile.
