Payments for environmental services and their impact on forest transition in Costa Rica
The general objective of this study is to empirically test the causal effect of the Costa Rican PES program on forest cover at various scales by combining secondary data on biophysical factors and socio-economic characteristics using program evaluation techniques, and by having access to accurate data on forest cover.
