Dois Países Andinos no Mercosul ?

Abstract

Este trabalho procura mapear as principais características do comércio da Colômbia e da Venezuela com os países do Mercado Comum do Sul (Mercosul), Brasil em particular. Trata-se de proporcionar uma visão geral desse intercâmbio, de suas principais alterações ao longo do tempo, assim como apresentar alguns indicadores descritivos dessa relação comercial. Uma consideração especial deve ser feita a um grupo de produtos específicos, cujo valor transacionado afeta a análise. Trata-se do conjunto de petróleo e derivados, commodities com mercado internacional peculiar, e importantes na pauta de exportação desses dois países. Assim, a análise é feita inicialmente com todos os produtos transacionados, mas a seguir se exclui da análise o conjunto de petróleo e derivados. Palavras-chave: integração regional, complementaridade produtiva, competitividade de exportações. This work identifies the main characteristics of trade flows between Colombia and Venezuela with MERCOSUR, with specific discussion of trade with Brazil. It aims at providing a broad view of such trade flows, as well as presenting some descriptive indicators of such trade relationship. A special treatment is adopted for specific products, namely oil and oil products, which have specific market conditions and are, at the same time, quite important among the exports of both Colombia and Venezuela. The analysis initially focuses, therefore, on all the traded goods but is followed by a separate appraisal of non-oil exports.
