Abstract

Os índices de segregação medem o quão irregular é a distribuição de certo grupo em uma área geográfica. Este trabalho tem por objetivo tratar dos índices de segregação, mais especificamente, da metodologia de como são obtidos e a funcionalidade das medidas propostas. Em seguida é feita uma aplicação para o rendimento do trabalho formal para os municípios da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo (RMSP). The segregation indices measure how uneven is the distribution of a certain group within a geographical area. This article deals with segregation indices and presents the methodology of how they are derived and functionality of each. Then an application is made for the formal labor income for the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
