Abstract

As transferências do governo para indivíduos e famílias desempenham um papel central no sistema de proteção social brasileiro, representando quase 14 por cento do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) em 2009. Embora seus impactos fiscais e redistributivos já tenham sido amplamente estudados, os efeitos macroeconômicos das transferências são mais difíceis de determinar.
