Abstract

En 1961, le ministère américain de l?agriculture (United States Department of Agriculture) publiait un programme économique de lutte contre la faim (Economy Food Plan). Ce plan qui a été conçu avec minutie propose l?instauration d?un régime alimentaire adéquat du point de vue nutritionnel pour les pauvres à court terme ou en cas d?urgence. Ce programme avait fait l?objet de modification avant d?être rebaptisé ?Programme de régime alimentaire à coût minimal? (Thrifty Food Plan). Le coût le plus bas ainsi défini était de 80,40 $ par personne et par mois en 1999. (...)
