Abstract

L’agenda du travail décent de l’OIT repose sur “la création d’emplois, les droits au travail, la protection sociale et le dialogue social” (OIT). Partout dans le monde, le secteur de construction et sa chaîne d’approvisionnement sont des créateurs d’emplois importants, mais ils connaissent aussi beaucoup de défis. Les travailleurs dans le secteur de construction, notamment, sont souvent vulnérables à cause de leur statut de travail (beaucoup de travail informel), statut migratoire (beaucoup de migrants), éducation (souvent moins éduqués), et autres. Dans ce papier, nous passons en revue la littérature sur le travail dans le secteur de construction et sa chaîne d’approvisionnement avec un focus sur les pays moins industrialisés, afin d’identifier les tendances en matière de travail et de faire ressortir les lacunes dans la littérature existante. Cette revue servira comme point de départ pour une étude ultérieure sur le secteur de construction dans la ville de Bukavu au Sud-Kivu, RDCongo.
