Abstract

The security situation remains highly volatile in Eastern DRC, with significant humanitarian pressures. Political risks are also rising, with a newly formed opposition coalition against any term extension through either a Constitutional change or a security-motivated delay to the 2028 presidential election. The war in the Middle East and the recent Ebola outbreak are further complicating the conduct of public policy.
