Abstract

ILO pub-WEP pub-PREALC pub. Working paper, conference paper on economic implications and social implications of long term imbalance of trade in Latin America, 1960-1985 - examines declining shares of exportable industrial products in gross domestic product; argues that low income, wages and employment could be redressed by structural change, economic policies, trade policies (import substitution) and wage policies aimed at equitable income distribution. Bibliography, graphs, statistical tables.
