Working paper on factors affecting agricultural research and agricultural technology, comprising a case study of India - discusses the theoretical background, institutional framework of research centres, divergencies and complementarities in research organisation and allocation, the impact of poverty, literacy and demographic aspects of the rural population; examines the effects on agricultural income, agricultural production and agricultural employment.
