Market structure, industrial organisation and technological development: the case of egyptian industries

Abstract

Working paper on the relationship between market economy, industrial structure and enterprise level choice of technology in Egypt - compares econometric models and industry level data from nine developing countries, and investigates the impact of industrial policy favouring capital intensive manufacturing on the Egyptian labour market.
