Abstract

Working paper on trade, employment creation and industrialization issues in Mexico - discusses economic development trends and obstacles, capital intensive export oriented industry, economic disparities, external debts, foreign investment and the role of entrepreneurs, industrial workers, trade unions and the government; assesses economic policy options; includes a case study of the motor vehicle industry.
