Abstract

Working paper analysing economic policy and income distribution trends in Cote d'Ivoire - reveals the fragility of the high economic growth rate 1965-1979, examines the evolution of capital worker ratio emphasizing capital intensive development to detriment of employment creation, attributes surplus production to the agricultural sector and suggests amendments to investment policy, wage policy, price policy, fiscal policy and immigration policy. Graphs, map and statistical tables.
