Abstract

ILO pub-wep pub. Working paper on a comparison assessing the success of migration policies intended to stem rural migration and stimulate rural employment in South East Asia - outlines low income, unemployment and unequal land ownership causes of migration from the agricultural sector, and analyses urbanization consequences and the need for state intervention for employment creation in rural areas through land settlement schemes and rural development programmes, etc. References.
