Abstract

Working paper on economic implications of higher petroleum prices for the economy in India, with particular reference to energy economics - examines changes in power consumption since 1970 in respect of industry, transport, agriculture, household consumption, etc., analyses macroeconomics effects (incl. Income), and discusses alternative energy policies. References and statistical tables.
