Abstract

Working paper comprising a sample survey of the informal sector in the urban area of campinas sp in Brazil - characterises the economy of the city, the size of enterprise, ownership, labour force and wages patterns, the linkages with other industrial enterprises, etc., and constitutes part of a WEP research project on urbanization and employment. References and statistical tables.
