Abstract

Working paper, emanating from a WEP research project, on income distribution trends in Africa, with particular reference to the impact thereof on economic development - examines income structures resulting from a changing degree of dualism and rural areas-urban areas economic disparities, etc., and maintains that direct incomes policy measures can be effective only as part of a global development policy.
