Evolución y racionalidad de las instituciones presupuestarias en Colombia

Abstract

(Disponible en idioma inglés únicamente) Un proyecto de investigación realizado por la Oficina del Economista Principal del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo ha hallado elementos de juicio iniciales pero convincentes de que las instituciones presupuestarias en América Latina tienen efectos significativos en los resultados fiscales. Los investigadores crearon un índice del grado de desarrollo de las instituciones presupuestarias que cuantifica la fortaleza de dichas instituciones. Los resultados sugieren que la solidez de esas instituciones incide en el desempeño fiscal.
