Abstract

El presente documento es parte de una serie de trabajos comisionados por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo para la primera reunión del Diálogo Regional de Política de Gestión Pública y Transparencia que tendrá lugar en la sede del Banco en Washington el 26 y 27 de Abril del 2001. Discute los retos del desarrollo en América latina y el Caribe en cuanto a la modernización del Estado y la importancia del Servicio Civil.
