La violencia en Venezuela: Dimensionamiento y políticas de control

Abstract

En la presentación de este trabajo se optado por comenzar con la fuente de conocimiento más obvia, las estadísticas policiales. En la primera parte se analizaron las dificultades de trabajar con ellas y el uso que se ha hecho. En la segunda parte, se analizan los datos que proporciona esta fuente. En la última, los datos de otras fuentes, de otras voces que nos permiten percibir las limitaciones de las estadísticas policiales y profundizar el conocimiento: una encuesta de victimización y los datos de la morgue de Caracas.
