Absolventen und Abbrecher - zum Ausbildungsgeschehen im dualen System Hamburgs

Abstract

"Anhand des Ausbildungsjahrganges 2005 - alle Ersteinsteiger in eine duale Berufsausbildung in Hamburg - wird gezeigt, dass die Rate 'echter' Ausbildungsabbrüche im dualen System nur etwa sieben Prozent (7,4 Prozent) beträgt. Rund 9/10 erreichen bis zum 25. Lebensjahr eine berufliche Qualifikation. Die Mehrheit aller Ausbildungen verläuft kontinuierlich. Über 70 Prozent aller Ausbildungsanfänger in Hamburg weisen ein (ununterbrochenes) Ausbildungsverhältnis im Erwerbsverlauf auf und erreichen (mindestens) einen Berufsabschluss. Ein weiteres Viertel unterbricht die Ausbildung und/oder wechselt den Ausbildungsberuf, erreicht aber ebenfalls einen Abschluss. Zwischen der erworbenen Qualifikation, dem individuellen Ausbildungsverlauf und dem Berufseinstieg können Zusammenhänge beobachtet werden: Je kontinuierlicher die Ausbildung erfolgt (keine Unterbrechungen, kein Berufswechsel), desto größer ist der Erfolg mit Blick auf sozialversicherungspflichtige Beschäftigung und Arbeitslosigkeit nach der Ausbildung."
