Abstract

"More than 27.000 people lost their jobs in the course of the insolvency of the drugstore chain 'Schlecker'. Compared to job vacancies for similar tasks Schlecker paid higher wages. So the former employees couldn't be obliged to accept job offers up to a certain point, because they were not reasonable to them on a legal basis - at least for a few months. Since job advisers are demanded to place their clients quickly they need to convince them to accept low wages voluntarily. To get there they apply different strategies ranging from supporting to demanding approaches." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
