Beschäftigung im Strukturwandel: Sättigungstendenzen in einer veränderten Bürolandschaft

Abstract

Mit Hilfe einer Kombination von Berufs- und Tätigkeitsangaben aus den Mikrozensen und den Daten aus der BIBB/IAB-Erhebung 1998/1999 wird in dem Beitrag ein Überblick über Entwicklung, Struktur und Stand von Beschäftigung und Technisierung im Büro gegeben. Nach einem starken Anstieg in den 70er und 80er Jahren stagniert seit 1990 die Beschäftigung im Bürobereich. Die Verbreitung des Computers nähert sich der 100 %-Marke. Gleichzeitig ändern sich die internen Organisationsstrukturen fundamental: Immer mehr Beschäftigte sind in gehobenen und leitenden Funktionen tätig, Personal in einfacher Stellung wird immer weniger benötigt.
