Arbeitslosengeld und Arbeitslosenhilfe : unterschiedliche Auswirkungen der Leistungskürzungen in Bundesländern und Arbeitsamtsbezirken

Abstract

"Durch die ab 1994 vorgesehenen Kürzungen im Bereich von Arbeitslosengeld und Arbeitslosenhilfe werden Ausgaben in Höhe von 2,5 Mrd DM in die Haushalte der Kommunen verlagert. Regional wirkt sich dies sehr unterschiedlich aus: Gebiete mit hoher Arbeitslosenquote und hohem Anteil an Langzeitarbeitslosen werden stärker belastet als andere. Es sind dies insbesondere städtische Regionen im Nordwesten und Norden der Republik. Die dort schon hohe Belastung im Sozialhilfebereich wird überproportional erhöht. In den neuen Bundesländern wird der Übergang von der Arbeitslosenhilfe zur Sozialhilfe mit zeitlicher Verzögerung stattfinden." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
