Abstract

"In December 2015, the headquarters of the Federal Employment Agency made the timing of integration agreements for unemployed persons in the unemployment insurance system more flexible. This report presents the results of an online caseworker survey, which asked for the knowledge, use and assessment of the new regulations. About two thirds of caseworkers who were aware of the additional discretion took advantage of it. More than 70 per cent of the caseworkers who were familiar with the new directives thought that the additional discretionary scope was helpful for the counseling process. Caseworkers using the new discretion were largely of the opinion that a later conclusion of integration agreements did not alter the integration prospects of the unemployed. About two-thirds thought that the relationship to the unemployed becomes more trustful with a later completion." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
