Abstract

"Im Fokus des Projekts 'Berufliche Weiterbildung als Bestandteil Lebenslangen Lernens' (WeLL) steht die Teilnahme an beruflicher Weiterbildung und ihre Wirkung auf die berufliche Positionierung und Einkommensentwicklung von Arbeitnehmern. Die Studie geht der Frage nach, was Arbeitnehmer zur Weiterbildungsbeteiligung bewegt. Um neben den individuellen Rahmenbedingungen und Motiven der Arbeitnehmer auch das betriebliche Umfeld zu erfassen, werden im Rahmen des Projektes sowohl Betriebe als auch deren Arbeitnehmer zum Thema Weiterbildung befragt. Auf diese Weise wird ein Linked Employer-Employee-Datensatz aufgebaut. Mit Hilfe dieses Ansatzes soll geprüft werden, warum - bei einem ansonsten gleichen betrieblichen Umfeld - ein Teil der Arbeitnehmer an Weiterbildung teilnimmt und andere sich enthalten. Der Methodenbericht dokumentiert das Erhebungsinstrument, die Stichprobe, das Erhebungsdesign, den Pretest, den Feldverlauf und das Ergebnis der Selektivitätsanalyse der ersten Befragung 2007. Beschreibungen und Auszählungen zu den einzelnen erhobenen Merkmalen der 1. Welle befinden sich im FDZ Datenreport 04/2009." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
