Perzistentnost euroizacije u Hrvatskoj

Abstract

U ovom se radu analizira kretanje financijske euroizacije u Hrvatskoj te se razmatra primjena monetarnih i makroprudencijalnih mjera u kontekstu visoke euroizacije. Iskustvo Hrvatske upućuje na to da je visoku euroizaciju teško smanjiti unatoč dugogodišnjoj makroekonomskoj i tečajnoj stabilnosti te vjerodostojnoj monetarnoj politici koja je uključivala regulatorne mjere za destimuliranje bankovnog poslovanja s devizama. Izlazna strategija za uklanjanje valutnog rizika nametnutog visokom euroizacijom, koji otežava provođenje monetarne politike i održavanje financijske stabilnosti, može se zasnivati ili na uvođenju eura ili na poticanju upotrebe domaće valute. Obje opcije naposljetku zahtijevaju ispunjavanje istih preduvjeta, a to su poboljšanje gospodarskih fundamenata, vjerodostojna ekonomska politika i smanjenje makroekonomskih neravnoteža.
