人口動態とその諸要因 : サハ(ヤクーチア)における民族と地域的特性

Abstract

本研究の目的は,サハ共和国(ヤクーチア)の人口動態の特徴と共和国内地区間の差異,そしてそれを決定する要因を明らかにすることである.地理的位置・民族的要因,各地区が特化している経済活動の種類と関わって生じる各地区の人口動態の差異を明らかにすることによって,先行研究に欠けていると考えられる観点を補完した.とりわけ民族構成という要因については,明示的かつ定量的に検討した.3回の人口センサスにおける民族構成と,それぞれの人口センサス後の人口増加率との関係を自治体単位で明らかにした.1990年代初頭には,人口増・人口減の半分以上を先住民の構成比率が説明しており,先住民の割合が高いほど人口が安定していた.だが経済が安定的に成長し始めると,この要因の説明力は時間の経過とともに弱くなった.クラスター分析により,民族以外の要因が地区間の動態差に影響を与えていることが明らかになった.2000年代には,経済的要因および地理・交通の条件の影響が決定的となった.先住民の割合が高くても,交通の便が悪い北部や遠隔地にある地区では,人口が減少した.逆に,共和国の中心地であるヤクーツクに近く,先住民が多い地区では,大きな人口増加を記録している.
