Abstract

Videnskaben og videnskabssynet er under forandring (Wenneberg, 1999e; Jensen & Wenneberg, 2000). Nye perspektiver og strukturer ser dagens lys. Mode 2, Triple Helix, ”the entrepreneurial university” er nogle af de mest kendte inden for videnskabs- og teknologi-forskningen. Fælles for disse perspektiver på videnskaben er, at videnskaben – specielt de offentlige forskningsorganisationer (universiteter og sektorforskningsinstitutioner) – bliver sat ind i en større samfundsmæssig sammenhæng. Videnskaben skal være nyttig, den skal give økonomisk gevinst, den skal forøge den samfundsmæssige vidensbank osv. Hermed sker der et skift i synet og fokuseringen på videnskaben. Hvor vidensproduktionen traditionelt har været omdrejningspunktet, der er det nu vidensanvendelsen, der er i centrum. For det samfundsmæssige perspektiv på videnskaben er ikke, hvordan viden produceres, men hvad viden kan bruges til.
