Abstract

In the face of economic disruptions caused by unforeseen events, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have adopted various crisis management strategies to strengthen their organizational resilience, notably through resource bricolage. However, the impact of bricolage on SMEs' resilience remains insufficiently explored in the existing literature. This article therefore aims to examine the bricolage-resilience relationship through a comprehensive literature review, highlighting how bricolage can serve as a mechanism of organizational resilience for SMEs during crises by mobilizing available resources in creative and innovative ways. The main outcome of this study is the development of a conceptual model that illustrates the interconnection between resource bricolage, innovation, and organizational resilience, emphasizing their complementary role in enhancing SMEs' adaptability in times of crisis.
