Abstract

L'opération réalisée à Poupry, Lot1 « Villeneuve » a été effectuée dans le cadre du projet d'aménagement de la Zone d'activités d'Artenay-Poupry. Les vestiges correspondent à une occupation domestique de la période laténienne pour laquelle, en l'état, seule une datation large comprise entre La Tène B1 et La Tène D1a peut être avancée. L'ensemble est composé de cinq bâtiments sur poteaux et d'un bâtiment sur poteaux et tranchées de fondation. Deux petites tranchées (clôture ?) ont également été fouillées ainsi que trois silos. Le mobilier, peu abondant, est caractéristique des occupations domestiques de cette période. Si les bâtiments sur poteaux peuvent être interprétés comme annexes ayant servi au stockage, le bâtiment sur tranchées pourrait avoir servi d'habitat. Ce dernier se distingue par son plan curviligne et son architecture peu communs pour cette partie de la Gaule, ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles pistes de recherches sur les questions de l'architecture du second âge du Fer du centre de la Gaule.
