Abstract

The recall of agri-food products represents a major risk to food safety, management and public health, the impact of which can be considerable both on consumer health and on business development. This study aims to evaluate the application of FSSC 22000 certification in the agri-food industries and its impact on the Food Safety Management System (FSMSDA) within the European Union and the United States. It is also a question of analyzing the management of the recall of agri-food products in Algeria through a survey conducted among some economic operators. This new approach based on the application of the FSSC 22000 standard in the effective management of the recall of agri-food products constitutes a decision-making tool insofar as it integrates new international requirements related to the culture of food safety, risk control and the measure of prevention of cross-contamination.
