Abstract

La démocratie économique fait l'objet d'un regain d'intérêt, mais en négligeant souvent tant les expériences du passé que les formes actuelles d'entreprises démocratiques et leur capacité ou pas à transformer le capitalisme. Nous centrons ici notre analyse sur les coopératives et plus particulièrement les SCOP, qui constituent un idéal-type de sociétés liant une entreprise et une association de personnes propriétaires, selon la définition de la double qualité précisée par Vienney (1994). A partir d'une approché méso (Lamarche et al., 2021), nous montrons la capacité de ces coopératives à constituer des marges critiques instituantes dans le cadre d'une mise en débat démocratique du projet politique et des règles relatives aux dynamiques productives. Nous spécifions ainsi un espace méso critique et interrogeons la capacité des coopératives à contribuer à la transformation sociale et écologique en mettant la démocratie au cœur de leur action
