Abstract

Le thème d'une innovation frugale a émergé dans la dernière décennie à travers la littérature professionnelle et académique au point de devenir « un terme à la mode » en particulier dans le champ des études sur l'innovation. Très concentré en Sciences du management, ces travaux faisaient insuffisamment le point sur les comportements des agents et les mécanismes économiques sous-jacents à ce type d'innovation. C'est dans le but de répondre à ce manque que Christian Le Bas a rédigé et publié en 2023 chez Edward Elgar « The Economics of frugal innovation, Technological change for inclusion and sustainability ».
