L’Agriculture urbaine questionne l’aménagement et le développement territorial

Abstract

Pour la première fois en 2007, au niveau mondial, la population vivant en ville à dépasser celle vivant en milieu rural pour atteindre en 2050 selon les prévisions 70% d'urbains (Orsini et al., 2013). Longtemps, la production alimentaire et les urbains consommateurs ont été dissociés. Depuis les crises environnementales, sanitaires, économiques, ces mêmes urbains poussent les pouvoirs publics à repenser la traçabilité, la sécurité des aliments tant en termes sanitaires qu'en termes quantitatifs et qualitatifs. Ainsi, l'agriculture se réapproprie l'espace urbain et péri-urbain sous forme non marchande (jardins partagés, jardins familiaux, jardins collectifs, mobilier urbain) et marchande (fermes sur les toits, en pied d'immeuble, dans les parkings, en plein champ, fermes indoor). Ces initiatives innovantes sont portées par des associations ou des entreprises, et accompagnées le plus souvent par les collectivités.
