Abstract

Research on the cross-functionality - new product performance relationship reports contradictory results. The meta-analysis highlights some theoretical and methodological moderating variables. If the identification by Troy, Hirunyawipada, and Paswan (2008) of theoretical moderators that affect this relationship seems comprehensive, it is not for methodological factors. We assess the moderating effect of 24 moderators, 16 of which are methodological, which could impact the relationship between cross-functional integration and new product performance.
