Abstract

Bien qu'il marque une amélioration par rapport aux règles précédentes, le compromis récemment négocié entre les États membres de l'Union européenne pour réformer l'encadrement des dettes publiques risque d'augmenter le coût économique, et donc social, de leur réduction. À rebours des propositions originelles de la Commission européenne, qui étaient meilleures, il traduit une défiance accrue entre États et montre le chemin qui reste à parcourir pour que l'Europe se pense comme une entité stratégique.
