Abstract

L'économie française a affiché des résultats décevants au premier semestre 2018, ce qui alimente les inquiétudes sur la pérennité de l'embellie conjoncturelle observée à la suite de six années de croissance très faible (0,8 % en moyenne annuelle). Le ralentissement est en partie commun à la zone euro, découlant de la hausse des prix du pétrole et de la dégradation de l'environnement international. À cela s'ajoute en France un calendrier fiscal défavorable au premier semestre 2018, l'impact des grèves au deuxième trimestre 2018 et une moindre consommation d'énergie du fait d'un printemps exceptionnellement doux. Au deuxième semestre 2018, du fait des mesures fiscales (baisse des cotisations sociales salariées, première tranche de la suppression de la taxe d'habitation), le pouvoir d'achat des ménages devrait augmenter. Ainsi, la croissance rebondirait à 0,5 % au troisième trimestre 2018 et 0,6 % au quatrième trimestre. La croissance pour l'année 2018 serait alors de 1,7 % en moyenne. [Premier paragraphe]
