Abstract

uel contenu donner à une politique économique de gauche en France ? Pendant trois décennies au moins, la relance manquée de 1981 a hanté l'esprit de tous ceux qui se sont posé cette question. 1981 ou la caricature de l'incompétence économique : une gauche archaïque, enchaînée par son surmoi marxiste, refusant d'admettre que le monde des Trente Glorieuses était mort, abîme le pays dans une vague de nationalisations à contre-courant de l'histoire, des embauches absurdes de fonctionnaires et une relance keynésienne par la consommation qui profitera aux concurrents étrangers. Le "tournant de la rigueur" se donne pour le virage de la raison et la gauche se promet que, plus jamais, elle ne fera l'impasse sur la "contrainte extérieure". Voilà pour l'histoire officielle. S'il est un avantage au calamiteux cycle politico-économique ouvert par la courte victoire de François Hollande le 6 mai 2012 et clos par le sinistre triomphe de Marine Le Pen le 25 mai 2014, c'est qu'il permet d'actualiser le manuel de politique économique de la gauche française.
