Chômage et emploi des femmes dans la crise en France

Abstract

La crise économique qui a résulté de la crise financière est loin d'être révolue. La faiblesse de la reprise de la croissance continue de peser sur le marché du travail : l'ajustement de l'emploi à l'activité est encore à venir. Les ajustements qui se sont opérés sur le marché du travail des femmes et des hommes ont été différents. Le chômage des femmes a augmenté plus tardivement et moins fortement que celui des hommes, mais si l'on observe le chômage de ceux et celles qui ont une activité réduite, ce n'est plus le cas. Et c'est aussi du côté de l'emploi qu'il faut regarder les effets de la crise. Le taux d'emploi à temps partiel des femmes a progressé. C'est une forme de sous-emploi. Les effets de la conjoncture ont ainsi renforcé les tendances structurelles déjà à l'oeuvre.
