Abstract

Dès la fin des années 8O du siècle dernier, l'expression gestion du personnel est abandonnée au profit de celle de GRH alors que se développent la précarité de l'emploi, le chômage de masse et les cas d'épuisement professionnel ou de burnout. Ce paradoxe se comprend mieux quand on envisage comment l'humain a dû être pris en compte dans la gestion. Il l'a d'abord été en réaction aux excès du taylorisme au siècle passé. Il l'est plus récemment dans un contexte de croissante lente et de mondialisation de la concurrence dans lesquels il faut tirer le maximum de compétences des uns et des autres, du moins de celles qui parviennent à rester dans la course.
