Abstract

ntervenant en position de consultants-chercheurs dans des secteurs d'activité très variés, les auteurs ont été frappés par une similitude entre certaines pratiques actuelles de management - celles qu'ils regroupent sous le nom de "management des apparences" - et les pratiques magiques. L'ouvrage analyse, sur un mode à la fois sérieux et humoristique, la langue de bois managériale et ses incantations, les outils magiques - et les magiciens du "management des apparences". C'est un ouvrage critique dans le sens où on y étudie la forme, le contenu, les conditions d'apparition et le fonctionnement des phénomènes dénoncés. Toutefois, il ne se veut pas négatif ; c'est pourquoi, il se termine par quelques recommandations à ceux qui veulent rester lucides et résister à l'attrait fort du "management des apparences".
