Abstract

The present study is part of the project for the implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Algeria. It aims to explore the levels of training and involvement of internal stakeholders in the implementation process, as perceived by the Quality Assurance Managers (QAMs). The study is based on a qualitative approach through interviews with 27 QARs from different HEIs. The results reveal that the QARs consider the lack of training/awareness and involvement of internal stakeholdersas a major barrierto the success of QA processes.
