Abstract

Le potentiel démographique et économique représenté par le marché des seniors a été mis en évidence dans de multiples recherches. Cependant, un domaine de recherche reste peu étudié en France car il peut paraître surprenant ; il s'agit de l'intérêt des seniors pour les nouvelles technologies de l'information et plus particulièrement pour Internet. Cet article démontre le comportement des individus âgés de plus de 50 ans face à l'innovation technologique, notamment dans le domaine de l'information. Il met également en évidence la relation que les seniors entretiennent avec un nouveau média : Internet. Ainsi, le profil des internautes seniors est établi, leurs activités sur le Net et leurs domaines d'intérêt sont présentés, et enfin, leur attitude face au e-commerce est précisée.
