Vie privée et Internet : La pratique des sites français

Abstract

La perception du respect de la vie privée apparaît comme l'un des pivots de l'adoption du e-commerce. Le présent article vise à synthétiser la littérature en la matière, tout en dégageant les critères susceptibles d'être retenus pour évaluer la politique des sites français. En effet, il semble que cette question du respect de la vie privée ne devrait pas constituer un frein à condition que les entreprises observent des pratiques équitables. Une étude empirique est menée sur les 80 sites français les plus fréquentés. Le bilan est contrasté. Il montre que la majorité des sites développe une politique de respect de la vie privée mais que le contenu de cette politique présente encore de nombreuses faiblesses.
