Abstract

Der Zugang junger Ärzte zu einer wissenschaftlichen Beschäftigung ist in neueren empirischen Arbeiten wiederholt behandelt worden. Wenn auch die Frage der räumlichen Mobilität von Forschern ebenfalls zur Debatte steht, sind es doch zwei voneinander unabhängige Probleme. Hier sollen ausgehend von den Umfragedaten dreier Generationen (2001, 2004 und 2007) des CEREQ die Determinanten der beruflichen und geografischen Laufbahnen gemeinsam analysiert werden. Deskriptive Statistiken und die Schätzungen eines bivariaten Probit-Modells zeigen bei den Ärzten eine verstärkte geografische Mobilität und eine wachsende Bedeutung von Veröffentlichungen für den Zugang zu wissenschaftlichen Beschäftigungen.
