Abstract

Dans un premier temps, ce chapitre précise la notion de transition. Il commence par la définir comme un état dynamique d'entre-deux, une relation entre deux états. Ces états sont-ils stables ou non ? Dans un second temps, il s'interroge sur les échelles dont on parle et, par extension, sur les niveaux d'analyse ou d'abstraction. S'agit-il d'échelle de transformation de la matière et d'observatoins des phénomènes physiques ? D'échelles d'action des personnes, d'échelles territoriales, "de gouvernance" ou politiques climatiques, de jugement ou d'évaluation… ?
