L’addiction au pluriel : le cas des pratiquants de bodybuilding

Abstract

À partir de 30 entretiens auprès de bodybuilders masculins, couplés à une analyse de 27 magazines spécialisés, nous nous questionnons sur les mécanismes des addictions dans le bodybuilding, en nous interrogeant davantage sur le "comment" que sur le "pourquoi". L'article est en conséquence organisé comme suit : une première partie présente la logique "addictogène" du bodybuilding, la seconde apporte des précisions méthodologiques, permettant de comprendre nos éléments de catégorisation des addictions développés en troisième partie. À partir de là, la quatrième partie explique pourquoi les addictions dans le bodybuilding renvoient au concept de "carrière", mis en rapport dans ce cadre avec le prisme du genre. La partie cinq conclut.
